For everyone that is trying to figure out how to connect your watch to your phone, here you go: Pull the crown out 1 click Put the watch in TMR or L-TM mode Push the crown back in all the way Hit the top button Wait for the second hand to go to the ‘40 second mark’ Open Citizen Bluetooth App Your phone and watch will automatically pair and then your set!
Agree with the comment below. I've been looking for directions to connect to bluetooth for an hour. About to give up and return the damn thing.

I have a love hate relationship with this watch. It took me about 3 months to set the time on this thing because I have to watch a video every single time. I thought I'd remember by now with some practice, but this thing is so damn complicated.
Just bought it for $350. Love the hybrid. I always like analog and this give a bit of smart to it which complement my needs for subtle phone notifications whilst battery life is longer than any smart watch.
This is a beautiful watch. It just is NOT a smart watch. There is really very little benefit using the blue-tooth connectivity feature on this watch. It is way easier to just use the alarm feature on your cell phone that you likely have near your bed when you sleep. I don't recall ever using the alarm feature on a watch that I have owned; and I own a lot of watches. Use this watch for what it really is; just a watch. It is the favorite watch in my collection because the model that I have is so good-looking. I regularly get compliments on this model when I wear it. The crystal has withstood several pretty sharp impacts and has absolutely no scratches or visible damage.
The guide quite useful, but why I have to watch this while using BZ1021-54L model? It almost not relate at all. It take me quite a lot of time go around internet to figure out how I can connect bluetooth because the display on this model is different than the one in video.

So I had to go back to where I made the purchase to get help. They printed the directions for me and helped me to register it. The day is still not set. The date is correct, but it does not show the day.
Firstly, you get to tell people the name of app. Second, instruction menu always ask you to turn to PR mode. But how ? Even no idea how to turn to PR mode, then how to connect with iphone ????

Just download the app, enable bluetooth, bam it auto connected to your phone genius the app has the instructions of how to do it this is how to use the *WATCH* not the *APP*if you wanted the app tutorial for babies you should've searched that video. Some fucking people can't be bothered with a little bit of learning to do things on their own. Jesus.

You should have just made this like every other watch. Don't try to make it smart.. You failed miserably. Also, why don't you use a crystal that actually belongs in a $600 watch? I had more scratches on the face of this after 2 months of normal use compared to my other citizens that cost literally 25% of what this costs. Shame on you. -ex loyal customer

Ok, I was wrong the app does work on my phone you just have to ensure the watch blue tooth is actually on
